Diversity Antenna Distribution Module DADM228-P is a custom design that provides solutions for antenna and power distribution needs in portable sound bag and sound trolley applications. It is designed with an emphasis on weight and size without compromising performance.
The DADM228-P is an active antenna distribution system featuring 2 inputs and 16 outputs with built-in band-pass filtering. This device eliminates the need for multiple receiver antennas and offers a neat solution for sound bags, enhancing RF performance.
The DADM228-P is capable of handling very high input signals while maintaining a low noise figure. It also delivers exceptional intermodulation performance compared to other low-power devices on the market.
The system box provides adjustable gain ranging from +6 dB to -10 dB in 1 dB increments, allowing users to tailor it for specific applications. This flexibility in gain adjustment helps optimise the RF gain budget for digital, hybrid, and analogue receivers.
It features two industry-standard BNC input connectors for antenna inputs, which support the use of standard low-loss RF extension cables. Additionally, there are 16 mini-RF SMA connectors that connect to the diversity receivers.
For applications requiring remote antenna powering, the DADM provides switchable MHA powering, with RED LEDs indicating the power ON/OFF status. This MHA powering can be activated or deactivated through the OLED display menu.
The antenna inputs incorporate a very low-loss, highly selective band-pass filter design that effectively rejects unwanted frequencies both below and above the tuning bandwidth.
The DADM operates with an external power supply of 10-18Vdc. It features an industry-standard 4-pin Hirose connector, a green LED that indicates the power-on status of the system box, and an OLED display that continuously shows the DC input voltage.
The DC distribution features six Hirose DC output connectors for powering auxiliary equipment in any sound bag. Each DC output port can be individually turned ON or OFF through the OLED menu.
Wireless diversity antenna systems and DC power distribution systems are now the preferred choice among freelance sound engineers, hiring companies, and major broadcasters for all wireless microphone applications.
