LPDA-A-WB V2

The LPDA-A-WB can operate in either Active or Passive Mode, depending on the needs of your application:
  • Active Mode: Offers a fixed bandwidth in the 470-960 MHz range (custom-tuned for specific bands) with a user-adjustable gain of up to 18dB.

  • Passive Mode: When there is no DC present, the antenna functions as a high-gain passive device, capable of receiving or transmitting within its built-in filtering range, boasting a passive gain of 5dB.

This unique design features an exceptionally low loss and a highly selective band-pass filter with a fixed bandwidth. The LPDA-A-WB V2 provides flexibility and additional front-end protection against interference from dirty RF signals. It offers 18dB of user-adjustable gain to compensate for losses incurred from long antenna extension cables, allowing for an increased distance between the transmitter and receiver. The LPDA-A-WB is suitable for various applications, including filmmaking, documentaries, and fixed installations in studios and theatres. It is compatible with any UHF wireless receiving systems, whether digital or analogue, and delivers a directional coverage pattern.

The antennae are designed using advanced multi-layer PCB techniques, featuring copper-clad epoxy fibreglass to ensure durability in harsh environments. This construction provides long life and reliable performance even under difficult operating conditions.
The booster box is custom-designed from machined aluminium, finished with black anodising and equipped with a water-resistant O-ring for secure mounting. Installation is straightforward, thanks to an integrated thread that allows direct mounting onto a tripod. Alternatively, it can be mounted directly onto a microphone stand using the supplied adapter.

Power is supplied through coaxial cable, with a power source requirement of 10-18V DC.
