The AD226-MB is a 2-input, 12-output active antenna distribution system that features high selectivity and very low insertion loss band-pass filters. This system eliminates the need for multiple receiver antennas, offering a neater solution for sound bags while enhancing RF performance. Its advanced filtering design effectively removes unwanted RF signals within the selected bandwidth before sending the signals to the diversity receivers. This is particularly crucial in crowded radio frequency environments, as it helps protect the receivers from interference.
The AD226-MB is a custom-designed Antenna Distribution (AD) system that addresses the antenna and DC power distribution needs for portable sound bag applications. It is engineered for situations where weight and size are critical without compromising performance.
The antenna inputs consist of two BNC connectors, allowing the use of standard low-loss RF coaxial extension cables, while the outputs are 1 mini-RF SMA connectors that feed the diversity receivers.
In applications where remote antenna powering is required, the AD provides switchable Active Antenna Powering with RED LEDs that indicate the power ON/OFF status. This Active Antenna Powering can be toggled ON/OFF through the high-visibility large display menu.
The AD226-MB has a very high input signal handling capacity with a low noise figure and offers outstanding inter-modulation performance compared to other low-power devices.
The tuning bandwidth is custom-tuned with a semi-broadband response to accommodate various applications. The system's RF gain can be adjusted by the user in 1 dB steps, ranging from +6 dB to -10 dB. The AD226-MB is compatible with full-digital, digital-hybrid, and analogue radio microphone receivers available in the industry.
Wireless antenna distribution (AD) and antenna combiners (AC), along with digitally tuned systems, are now the preferred choice among freelance sound engineers, rental companies, and major broadcasters for all wireless microphone applications.
